Pre-K Explores Water

Pre-K got a little wet last week while working with water!  They tested a multitude of objects to see if they would sink or float.

The cotton ball is so wet!

Some of us were surprised that the leaf floated.  And that the bottle floated when it was empty, but when it was filled with water...it sank!

Next we explored what happened when water droplets were put on four different types of paper: wax paper, corrugated paper, copy paper and paper towel.

We were surprised that the water made "bubbles" on the wax paper and the corrugated paper actually came apart!  The copy paper ripped when it got wet and the paper towel....was used to dry the table!
