Observing Parts of a Tree!

Kindergarten has started their unit on Trees!  We brain stormed all the things we know about trees and discovered we know a lot about these amazing plants! We know trees...grow slowly, can be cut down when they are sick, ants and worms can live on them, can grow in your yard, can be made into toilet paper and can actually turn into rock (petrified wood)!

I found an acorn!

It's bumpy.

We found ants crawling on some of the leaves!

It looks like there is honey on this!

One tree part is smooth, one is bumpy.

Leaves, seeds, branches, tree sections!

What is this?

Making a leaf rubbing.

This has a brown middle.

Look what I found inside of the acorn!  It's yellow
and kind of squishy.

Taking the time to look closely.

The birch tree bark is so smooth!

We chose one part of the tree to look at closely and draw.

A tree sculpture.
